Sheldon Gouthro, BBA
President & CEO
Sheldon has been with Maritime Paper for 32 years and has served as President and CEO since 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia University and has completed the Marketing, Sales Management, and Executive Management Programs at Queen’s University.
Matthew Rust, CPA, CA, MBA
CFO & Vice-President Administration
Matthew joined the company in the spring of 2015 as Vice-President of Finance. In 2018 was promoted to CFO & Vice-President Administration, prior to 2015 Matthew held the position of CFO (Chief Financial Officer) & Vice-President Finance and Administration for Vogue Optical. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Mary’s University, CPA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Calgary, as well as receiving his Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.

Ken Lawrence
Vice President, Operations
Ken Lawrence joined Maritime Paper in June 2022 as Vice President, Operations. Ken has over 25 years of experience across several manufacturing industries and is a senior leader who successfully guided teams through process improvement using data analytics to drive results. Ken holds several certificates, including Lean Manufacturing, Labour Relations, and Capacity Utilization. Ken also attended Saint Mary’s University, where he studied Commerce and completed a diploma in Management and a Master’s in Project Management.
HUMAN RESOURCES:
Deanne Scott, BBA.
Director of Human Resources
Deanne Scott joined Maritime Paper in November 2022 and was promoted to Director, Human Resources in November 2023. Deanne is a seasoned human resources leader skilled at achieving excellence through talent acquisition, employee & labour relations, engagement, compensation & benefits and health & safety management. With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, Deanne has worked across various industries including transportation, telecommunications and manufacturing.

Deanne is results focused, dedicated to fostering a positive and safe work environment and positioning human resources as a strategic business partner collaborating with all facets of the Company. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Mount St. Vincent University in Management along with extensive training in multiple Human Resources disciplines and operational human resources management.
SALES:
Rick Baker, B.Com
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Rick joined Maritime Paper in June 2021. Rick has over 25 years of experience in the sales and marketing industry. Rick is a people leader with long-standing experience in managing businesses in regional and national markets. Rick holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University, a diploma from the Niagara Institute in Executive Leadership and Dale Carnegie training.
Geoff Morse
Director of Sales & Marketing
Geoff has over 23 years of experience with Maritime Paper in areas of customer service, production planning, and export sales. In 2018 was promoted to Sales & Marketing Manager, prior to this he held the position of Manager of Business Development and Client Services. Geoff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s University, a diploma from the Queen’s University Sales Management Program, and diploma in Graphic Arts & Structural Design from Clemson University.
